I purchased and read all 13 books in this series. I just loved the story, but that was all i loved. The writing and editing is the worst i have read in a long time. There are so many spelling, grammatical and duplicating errors it was stressful to read. This series could have easily been 8 to 10 books instead of the 13. There is soooo much repetition and the chapters begin in the middle of the previous chapters paragraph.Its a shame that this author let this print like this. I would definitely find a new editor. These are .99 cent books not the Kindle price i paid.

took awhile to get into the story, it was hard to stay reading when it didn't come up with a good enough twist.
Seems to jump around too much. Lots of nothing happening until very end. Most of Rickeys story Not as well written as Charlotte's.
The first three books about Ricky were awful. I almost wondered if someone else wrote them. The reason I kept going was I thought 13 was the end. Obviously it's not. Elemental Rivalry was great just like Charlotte' series..I do wish I knew the total number of books. I of course hate cliffhangers. Sighs!
Books are getting way too short. This isn't a novel but a novella maybe. The story continues but the next book should have been part of this one. I hope I don't have to wait a year before the author publishes again. The price was too high for 211 pages.
This one was more of a set up for others to come, and really gave us very little meat. However, I am still hooked on the story, the characters, and the writing. I would love MORE, simply more REAL content and less description of what may or may not be happening. I understand this current character is being kept in the dark, for what reason we aren't certain, but it left the story flat. Sorry, for the bad review, but it was not what I NEEDED!
I really enjoy the storylines and the characters -- though I want more Charlotte, Lisabelle, and the old crew involved with the new crew!. I must agree with other reviewers though, that editing could be much better (I would LOVE to help out with this). And if we must wait more than a year for the next book (Aug 2, 2016 to July 23, 2017 as I write this, with no due date for Book 14 in sight, we need MORE content in each book. Especially when it comes to resolution of storylines. Please don't leave us hanging Maddy!
ANOTHER cliffhanger! Maddy has such an imagination and I really can't wait for the next book in this series (or the Black Rose series either for that matter!) . My only complaint is that the next book hasn't been written/published yet! I'm dying to see how Ricky & Ostelle's story unfolds. Also, when will Keegan finally learn that Eighellie is in love with him? Who us the other "elemental"? You won't be disappointed in this book or this series!
